Armrest Fridge gets pretty loud

On my Landcruiser 200 V8 D4D the original Fridge-Box between the two Frontseats starts to be very noisy..

At the beginning the sound was just at the first 2 minutes from starting the cooling box, which works with the aircon.

Now it is noisy the whole time. Any Ideas? I have in the rear a Fridge and a Freezer Engel Box, but i love the additional cooling storage, which I can use too during driving.

If I go to my toyota mechanic, i guess he will replace the whole unit instead if fixing the issue... The box is working - but very noisy..

Hope someone has an idea how to replace the Fan?

I had the same when i 1st got my 08. A few months later the fan died. I've just left it broken as i just use it for storage. I'd be curious too if anybody else has replaced the fan, the dealer wanted $300 to do it

@Markuson replaced his himself. He has a thread on it somewhere with pics. I used a dealer to replace m ine. I also paid about $300, which is a bargain considering how long it took them. It requires evacuating and refilling the A/C as part of the process, plus a lot of disassembly. My local dealer told me that if he knew how long it would really take, he would have charged me a lot more. I like my rigs fully functional, and I was fine paying $300. Keep in mind you can get a very good full time fridge for around $800.

Probably just the fan making the noise.
$35 part to replace, but a pain to get access to.
