Somebody is out there building new bullet proof troopies and pickups.

Armored Toyota Landcruiser 78 series | Isotrex Manufacturing

I would guess these are not admissible to import, no matter how old.
cheers

I have actually armored a number to TLC 79 and TLC 76 for Saudi. The only part that sucks is the RHD gets the bigger 4.5d engine instead of the 4.2d that comes in our LHD.

A lot of the little APC you see with the police are built on either the TLC 70's chassis or the Land Rover 110.

Looking at the countries in your avatar, I would guess you armored a large number of them.
Any "trade-ins" in your yard - say 15 years old and just used in the National Day parade?
Smaller engine and a few bullet holes, no problem!

An armored 70' series that been used in Iraq/Afghan for 2 to 3 yrs is the basically the life span of the truck. After that it's almost a complete write off.

As far as Saudi you can contact Foozie at Al-Araba in Riyadh he might have OEM cabins and parts that he has taken off of armored 70's series he has armored.

I have seen both a 70 and a 105 around Kandahar with an electronic counter IED system installed. I assume they have some sort of armor as well.
