Hey Mudders,
In the process of having my windshield replaced, the installer found a couple of decent rust spots under the seal. In looking at them closely, it almost looks like they are drain holes which rusted out. Or are they? I'm trying to figure out what to tell the body shop it should look like once repaired. If you have any photos of that area that you can post up, especially up close and of these specific spots, I would appreciate that greatly. As you can see, one is directly in front of the center most rivet on the VIN plate, and the other (worse) one is slightly to the PS of the PS wiper motor stem.

Thanks, fire away.

Bump. No answers from the hive mind?

The one in the center line in front of the windshield is definitely a factory drain hole. In looking at mine more closely it was very uniform, and dead center. My conclusion is that it came from the factory with that drainage hole.

Seems odd. Run a little small amount of water over it, and see where water comes out.

If it comes out in the plenum, maybe you're right.
If it finds its way into the cab, you're wrong.
