Here at IPOR i just finished installiing my first ARB rear bumper on the 200 series, and big surprise, the wiring doesn't "just plug right in".

here is what i did.

ARB harness
Orange--batt +
White--Ground
Green/White--Left Turn
Yellow/Blue--Right Turn
Brown/White--Tail
Red/Black--Stop

Vehicle harness (at "towing converter")
Blue--Left Turn
Pink--Right Turn
Pink--Stop
Red--Batt +

Vehicle harness (at left tail light)
Green--Tail

Inside the left side panel where the instructions say there is a male plug. Locate the "towing converter" and remove it to gain easier access to the wiring going to it.

Locate the left tail light harness and unplug it from the light. The harness is right below the "towing converter".

The little green wire in the tai light harness is the only one you have to tap into.

The two wires on the outside of the plug are the turn wires(pink and blue). The pink wire right next to those two is the stop wire.
The big red wire is the Batt + wire.

The white wire in the ARB harness is not used on this side of the harness. it is the same wire that was connected to a ground next to the jack(refer to ARB bumper instructions)

Connect the wires accordingly using what you prefer.

Some vehicles may vary, so this information may not be accurate for all U.S. 200 series.

Vince, thanks for taking my call the other day. The led did the trick. Sooner or later we'll replace the wiring harness but for now, everything works!:clap:

nice write up...thx!

I realize this is a really old thread, but I'm in the process of cleaning up the wiring for the ARB bumper on my '13 Land Cruiser and ran into a couple of issues. Using the advice from the first post about which wires to splice into I noticed the following on my vehicle:
  • the left turn signal ticks way faster than stock (similar to when installing LED lights and a relay is needed to slow it down)
  • the right turn signal doesn't work when spliced into the pink wire
  • the tail lights are the same brightness as the brake lights (on the ARB it looks like I'm on the brakes 100% of the time vs. stock dimmer running lights and brighter brake lights)
Since I don't have a wiring diagram for my vehicle I didn't want to start splicing into other wires recklessly and braking something. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or any ideas on how I can test which wire would be the right signal? Also, would be nice to figure out how to slow down the indicator speed too.

Another update on a way old post... i recently installed one of these bumpers (new) on my '11 200 Series but the harness has changed from the descriptions above, naturally. This is what it looks like now and the revised diagram if and one still needs it...

NEW ARB harness
Orange--batt +
White--Ground
Yellow/Black--Left Turn
Blue/Black--Right Turn
Brown/Black--Tail
Red/Black--Stop
Black Wire (with Fuse) --- didn't put this anywhere unfortunately

(Everything Else is exactly from the original post)

Vehicle harness (at "towing converter")
Blue--Left Turn
Pink--Right Turn
Pink--Stop
Red--Batt +

Vehicle harness (at left tail light)
Green--Tail
