So I just received my ARB bumper to put on an 88 bj74. The directions say that part # 3512010 is needed for ,85-90 70series.

I can't seem to find what this part is or where I can buy one.

Is it even necessary? I did a test fitting and it's really tight on the outside edges but a lot of room at the bottom.

Thank you for the help

I think the fit kit is just all the bolts and such. If it slides back far enough to align the bolt holes, you should be good to go. I had to give mine a good swift kick to get it to slide back. It's easier if you have 2 people pushing equally on both sides and clean the frame really well first. A shot of lube wouldn't hurt either to help it slide back.

The bumper came with the hardware already. I am wondering If the fit kit is some spacers as there is a gap on the bottom and insides of the mount after install. I will likely just take some metal stock and drill a few holes to match.

On a side note. I thought it would have sucked in a little further to the vehicle. Sticks out as far as if not more than. The oem bumper
