The light has been installed. The electrical connections are done with a tap into the stock wiring harness with a scotch connector.

The electrical extension line is provided with the lights. Getting them to scotch into the stock harness is a little tough. Tight working conditions...small hands good for this. ARB also provides some ground lines for a winch when installed..nice to see.

We are still discussing the gap/hole left in front of the wheel, at the back of the BB. I think we are going to leave it for now. We will cut the extra inner splash guard and build a transition type of plate later.

A few observations. The gap between the body and the top of the BB is about 3/4 to 1" We have installed the Sahara Bar by ARB on a few 100 Series Land Cruiser's and ARB provides a "weatherstrip" type of rubber to be placed between these two areas that don't come into complete contact. I might suggest this for this gap area. It does not look really bad, but could be cleaned up a bit. We also found the RH light bulb to be burned out...rather odd. Just to reiterate the electrical wiring of these lights was tough. Working behind the headlights to get the scotch connectors in was a bear! Needle nose plyers a must here.

Next IPF Lights...JO-1's 85watt Hybrid Driving and Fog Lamps. As you can see IPF does the install kit very well. Everything we/you will need to hook these lights up. We were going to install the 900XS's, but wanted more options for light at night. Again, we will install the Fog Insert Lights when they are sent...we forgot those...:)

That's all she wrote for this install. Maybe we can do a LIVE install on your favorite FJ accessory in the future. What might that be? Watch for the Warn Winch install soon. Looks like it might be the 9.5xp. Look for a review later after we drive it with th Bull Bar and IPF's. Thanks to ALL for checking this thread out.

How can I get my hands on the ARB Bull Bar for the New FJ? I was told it would be late this year. How much dlvd to Oregon?

The ARB Bull Bar is on BACK ORDER with every distributor. ARB just received about 120 bars this past Monday. There will be another shipment in late June to early July(about 100 bars or so) These too are pre-sold to distibutors and their customer's. Your best bet to get a Bull Bar this year is to place an order with any ARB distributor...get on the list of back orders and when they arrive at ARB they will fill the orders of those whom have placed orders with distrubutors...:)

However, we have just encountered our first dislike for the BB. They want us/you to cut the end off of the inner splash guard! This seems rather odd. There is not a replacement panel of any sort for this area below the BB. It is meant to be left open to see the mounting brackets and stock body mounts. Yeah, it may be picky, but it seems to be a big hole/gap. We have our fabricator looking at it now. Maybe a quick sheet metal cover is in the future....
It's not really a big deal, try trimming it like this:

Also, BTW, for best appearance, we use a black satin spray paint on the color areas of the lower fender flange and the body mount… (NOT like the picture above :)) it’s a little touch that really makes a difference.

Congrats on your install!

Man-A-Fre has received their ARB bumpers and has started calling customers on their pre-order list. They are going to start shipping them out tomorrow. At least mine ships out tomorrow, so I assume they are shipping a bunch out. I assume that other distributors have received their bumpers and are starting to ship them as well.

If anybody wants my op on the Pre-order list.. you can have it.. first one to PM me gets it... I don't have the funds to buy it right now.. just putting it out there.

A couple questions on the ARB skid plate:

1. Do I have to remove the optional front skid plate I have?

2. If so, do I need to put the original factory plate on or does the ARB make up for that?

Okay, here is the "skip plate" that provide. This leaves a GREAT DEAL to be DESIRED. It is not even close to the original in gage/quality. Now, we would try to re-install the original, but to keep things going, we will install the ARB plate....

I can't totally envision the splash guards, but you might take a heat gun and warm them to the point of moulding them a different way and reconnecting them??? Does this make sense?

The bumper looks great, and so do the lights.
