anyone selling 40 or 60 series?

Hey all. Does anyone know of any decent 40 or 60 series cruisers for sale in the lower mainland?

I'm looking to keep it under 8k if possible, I currently own a 71 FJ40. The tub is shot and the frame is rusting in the rear so its time to find a new ride.

I've been keeping an eye on craigslist but thought the community here would probably be a better source for a nice ride.

Modified or not does not matter to me, my main concern is that it be mechanically sound and that there be minimal rust.

I met an older fellow a few weeks back in Ladner who was selling his '84 60 series. He is the original owner. Had 440,000 km with only some minor surface rust. He had the major stuff repaired. He also had an AXT for 4 years. Air bags in the rear. He did a lot of driving to Mexico. I think he was asking $9000. Seems steep, but he might be willing to drop as he had a JDM to replace it. I will see if I can find the # again if you are interested.

Seems pretty steep for that kind of mileage but I'd give him a call anyway just to see.
