Anyone seen a 16+ LX with a snorkel?

I ask because
1. I want to install one (the new Safari in particular)
2. I cannot find any examples of anyone installing one
3. I’m getting conflicting opinions about the likelihood of fitment. I’m almost certain that the the fender contours are different. Fine. There are ways to seal that up. But as an example, taking with one of Slee’s guys today, I was told they are specifically prohibited for booking such a job.

I’m strongly leaning towards the position that the air box is almost certainly the same distance from the A pillar. From there, I’m not sure.

Has anyone seen any dorkels on a 16+ LX??

I spoke to a friend of mine that did it on a earlier model LX570 in Australia. It took a lot of work do to. The fender fitment is not the real issue. It is the resulting angle of the upper part of the snorkel to the A-piller. He had to do a lot of work (heat, pull with ratchet strap, rinse and repeat) to make it fit reasonable.

Just not something we would tackle on a 2019 LX with that amount of unknowns.

I have it on my 16+ LC200 .. and I have the "new" version for the 5.7 engine. You can send an email to Safari and ask them. They reply when I ask them questions.

So it was an older, pre 16 LX? I was under the impression the AU friend's project was on an 16+, but there was some uncertainty. If its a pre-16 then its a whole different ball game.

I totally understand not wanting to get into an unknown project on a tight timeline!

It sounds like nobody has tried it on a 16+, and I think I am wiling to be the guinnea pig. A new fender or snorkel is cheaper than an engine :) I've got a good shop here that is willing to to take the time and experiment, and it would not cost them the time/money/business to work on this that it would at your shop, due to how much business you're doing etc.
