Well,
I am wondering what this red wire with a yellow stripe is for.
This is by the driver side front kick panel.
It has been this way for who knows how long.

Does anyone know what these series of wires run to?

Thanks in advanced.

LOL.
Nobody?? Hmmm..
Well, this is for my 1997 Landcruiser. I wish I had an FSM.
It should be in there. Does anyone out there have a 1997 FSM that could help me out?
Thanks.

It's one of the wires you tap into for an alarm trigger. NLXTACY has the best answer. It's used for one of the dome lights. Check either the front doors or the back doors to verify the dome lights come on.

Is it important? Up to you - it's probably pretty easy to reattach.

The FSM shows it "could" be:
• Rear Interior Light
• Rear Courtesy Light

Awesome! My rear interior/courtesty lights haven't been working for a while now. I also noticed after taking the picture, that a blue wire also came loose. After I reconnected both of them, my dome/courtesty lights are back on.
I really need to get an FSM.
Thanks NLXTACY.
