I just completed operation Operation Heat Stroke - 2 weeks in my driveway during the hotest part of the year swapping my '73 F for a fresher 2F and 4 speed from a (I think) '78. Also upgraded to the WONDERFUL world of power steering. This leaves me with an F engine and 4 speed that I am not using.
If anyone in Tornado Alley Cruisers is in need of an engine or transmission to get their rig up and going let me know, I'd like to help a fellow club member out.
Engine: 1973 F engine, Aisin carb, headers. Smokes a little, although not horribly. Popped during deceleration, Erik thinks most likely vacuum leak. No flywheel. Also, I would like to keep the fuel pump off of it but if you need that too I will part with it.
Tranny - 4 speed, not sure what year. Whines, especially in 3rd gear, and didn't shift really smooth, but it's a working tranny I just want out of my garage.
