We are still in the hunt for a used LC, found one there I'm very interested in and was hoping someone could give it a once over. Looks like it was sold in MD and am mostly concerned for rust.

Thanks,
-Chris

Looks like maybe 3 owners on the Carfax, 2nd/3rd owner only kept it for 4 months. Someone posted a low mile 19 on here for only a few thousand more.

For some reason I can’t see CarMax in Afghanistan even when using a VPN. I plugged the VIN on toyota owners and it looked good from a service standpoint.

I’m not seeing the ‘19 for sale on here. Link?

Thanks in advance for replying. Being deployed I’m trying to get this done for the wife before I come home.

Someone linked it on your last thread, a 19 is out of my reach but this would be one I would be interested in, especially so close to your budget. I believe it is a 19 with low miles going for 72k.

Attached the Carfax of this 17.

Thanks for posting the Carfax. I wonder if it was sold due to the recall for seatbelt fix that took forever to come to a solution.

Hoping I can get someone to look at the undercarriage. I go back to the other thread and check out the ‘19

If my wife had her choice, she wants blue on brown.

Post up in the Olde North State clubhouse. I'm in Raleigh (3 hours away), but we have TONS of really nice member in CLT.

About $11,000 more and you can buy a new one. It is only money

I am near GodSpeed if you want someone to run over and check it out. The dealership has a reputation of asking (and usually getting) a slight premium for vehicles because they seem to be pretty selective about the cars they sell. My friend just bought a convertible Audi RS4 from them a few weeks ago.

Yes, if you don't mind that would be awesome.

Yes, Sir! I'll try to get out there either this evening or tomorrow at lunch.

Thank you very much. If you have an iphone you can imessage me at doctorres112@icloud.com
I'm still in Afghanistan so will be being whichever 200 series I choose from over here. Your assistance is much appreciated.

let me know if you run into a snag I am in CLT and could take a look. got a paint depth meter too and would be more than happy to help.

@doctorres112 I checked out the rig yesterday evening. I took several photos of the underside and a few of some suspension components and other spots that I know are prone to rust (even the infamous KDSS accumulator valves). I got so carried away I even took it for a test drive - for good measure ;) and then something strange happened.... I bought it.

Just kidding! It's a very clean rig and didn't have any noteworthy rust at all. Someone did apply some sort of coating to the outer part of the frame rails - which I don't know if it was put as a protective measure or to cover something up, but based on the condition of the other areas - it doesn't appear to be a cover up job. The rear axle was spotless, as were a number of other parts and fasteners that typically rust even in the desert on these things.

I took some photos of a few scuffs on both corners of the rear bumper and of some interior scuffs on the handle of the center console. Aside from a slight interior odor, she is a beautiful Land Cruiser. I was trying to identify the odor and I don't know if it was the rear rubber mat, or the armour-all type of product they coated the WeatherTech's with, or what. It wasn't strong - but it was something I just noticed it when I first got in. I didn't notice it after being in it for a few minutes - my guess is it'll go away once you toss some kids in there!

The dealership applied a generous layer of armour-all on exterior (and under-hood) plastic surface imaginable, but it looked and drove like a vehicle with only 11,500 miles...quiet and confident. The engine bay was spotless.

I'll try sending the photos and the name of the Operations Manager I spoke with to your imessage account above.

You are welcome! I sent the photos - let me know if you didn't receive them and I'll post the photos here if you like....

OK - posting here since I can't seem to get them to go through "the normal way"

1) Looking up at the KDSS accumulator and seeing the valves...tiny bit of rust - nothing unusual.
2) Looking from drivers side forward under vehicle...notice some undercoating on outer side of frame rail...
3) Looking up at passenger side rear frame - tiny specs of surface rust
4) Rear axle - looks fantastic...
5) Front of passenger side front suspension (lower control arm, etc...) - clean...
