I broke this little springy button thing right under the front end of the hood on the driver side. It caught on my stomach and gave a pretty good gash. I did my best to not break it while working on replacing head gasket, then finally it happened when I was struggling with the intake manifold, leaning over and stepping in and out of the bay. Smh. I hope its not super important.

It's a hood open sensor switch for an aftermarket alarm.
