I am planning on building a trailer this summer & was wondering if anyone knows anything about this trailer axel?
What I want to know is if I can flip it like in pic #2 so i can get more clearance. Pic #1 is the way it was being used.
The good thing about this axle is that my spare tires from my Cruiser fit, so i can use both my spares if needed.
Any advice, ides or comments will be greatly appreciated

Looks kind of like a rear axle from a front-wheel drive VW. It should work great, provide extra clearance... and now my gears are turnin'.

Two different actions when used...

First position (down, the way it was designed) pulls the weight, and tires in, when pressure or weight is applied.

Second position (in the "up" pic) pushes the weight out, which I'd bet it was not designed for.

I'd find out as much as possible and proceed cautiously if you're planning on flipping it.
