I am looking to have my radiator dipped, checked, or whatever a shop can do to see if the thing is a turd or not.
Tore my 40 apart all weekend to determine over heating and thin it is the radiator. Everything else seems tombe functioning right. Took stat out and ran it, over heated. The changed all the coolant, overheated. Checked the water pump, lots of fkn fun there, the little turbine spins fine. Fluid was in the motor at both top and bottom hoses.

Hoping time for radiator service but cant find anyone up here that knows a shop. Willing to travel if the place is good.

And yes i looked at the plugs and oil. All look perfect and had a friend check the plugs for color and he said they looked great. I have no clue there..

Anyone know a shop?

Appreciate the contact though!

Aluminum = < $150

x2 checked price to repair mine and the alum. was $168, half of the repair cost. 40 runs much cooler now.

i wanted to go with all original look this time around. i figured i was over paying a bit but also wanted it done in a few days. the thing is installed and th ecruiser finally rins at perfect temp. After about 15 years of ownership, the thing finally runs and drives great.
