Tower of murder baby.
So I've had a very old Seagull acoustic guitar for almost twenty years....I've had dozens of guitars, but it's the only one I know I'll own until my fingers don't work...awesome machine.

Owned it since before my first trace of cruiser grime found it's way to my fingernails.

It's doppelganger has shown up for sale on the mainland...and, I wants it...

I put a call in to my buddy who knows guitars, and lives in van who I was going to get to check it out for me...he called back from puerto rico...something of a snag in my plans.

You wouldn't have to bring it to the island, just pick it up and hang on to it until he or I can come grab it.

Anyone over there? apparently the dude lives near chinatown. There's beer in it for you if you can assist.

Long shot , but what the hell. :meh:

just a hobby, I can play passing mediocre if I've had a good night sleep or I'm not too drunk...

Ordinarily I wouldn't bother trying to get one from the mainland, but in this case it's just rank sentiment... kinda like finding an 83 bj42 in the same colour as your first cruiser...;p

I figgered I'd free you guys from the agony of waiting for an update.

I had to deliver a sailboat up the fraser from nanaimo on sunday, so had the unparalelled joy of setting my alarm for 2:30 am (after some time in the pub)so I could leave the dock while it was still dark.

To make a long story short, was windy as fxxx, so I flew across the straits, between crazy english drivers, russian housekeepers and buses overcrowded with mainlander swine, I was way early for the 3pm ferry home...and a power nap.

old guitbox was worth the hassle, cool part is the serial # is 067...so they don't get much earlier. My other one is in the 1600's which until now I'd thought was pretty early.

Less cool part is that it's clearly been owned by some crackhead retards over it's 30 year life...has a few dings, and a crack which I'll have to repair, but it's all easily fixed.

It's not quite at the basket case level of things I usually buy from the early 80's...( mootard comes to mind) but it was also a lot cheaper, and fits under the bed when I don't want to work on it.
One with the bacardi bat sticker is the one I've had since '96 or so.

Wouldn't bother posting, other than that I'm rather chuffed about snagging the twin bro' of a guitar I've had for almost 20 years for less than an average bar tab. ( and I can say I have a flock of seagulls now, yes, 2 is a meagre flock, but I'm going with it. )

Cruiser content, saw a nice lifted 42 in the big smoke. Kinda green/multicoloured with a snorkel and round precleaner.
