If anyone of you are going to be up in the Bay Area sometime soon I just spoke with a really nice guy named Jon who I'm going to buy a set of 285 Revo's from and need to figure out how to get em down south.

If you know of any cheap freight shipping or other ideas also I'm all ears. DHL is like ~$30/tire which isnt too bad I suppose.

Thanks!

I'll be up past Sacramento from May 19-23. I'll have to do some measuring to see if it will fit with a load. If it's do-able, I can swing across to SF and pick them up either on the way up or the way down. Of course you'd have to compensate me for the extra gas. We're also planning to go to Monache Meadows the weekend of the 24th, either leaving Thursday or Friday. If it's Thursday, I'll have to cut my trip a day short. You may have enough time to get them mounted and join us. We'll be returning Sunday or Monday.

I'll be up there on the 25th, but there's no way 4 revos will fit in my daughter's Scion Xa along with all her other junk from another year of college.

I will be in Salinas and Oakland at the end of the month for work. Not sure if i am flying or driving, but if I drive I will have the Tundra so space will not be an issue.

did you post in Mudship already?

Yep, its up there. Another facet of Mud I had no idea existed!

I'm crunching the numbers, $600 bones +mounting & balancing + shipping is probably too much.

There's 4 tires at 73% and 1 spare at 100%.

I can get four brand new Revo 285's out the door at Firestone for $729 with the deal they're running right now. I'd have to buy another spare at some point, but I can deal with that down the line.

:meh:
Trying to get a "deal" is hard work! haha

Damn - you're good. How did you know her car was that color? :flipoff2:

You obviously haven't seen how much shiat a college girl has to bring home! Rear seats down and that little car is crammed to the roof from front seats to rear hatch!:eek::eek:

I suppose we could strap them to the roof. hehehe  NOT. :p

Just mount them on the car! Should only run a little. :D

Sure...a little body work with a sawsall and we'd be good to go! :hillbilly: Four lug pattern on the Xa might present some problems tho. hehehe

Simple solution...grinder, welder and

No longer needed

Guys, just bought a set of BFG's locally, so I'm no longer mooching a ride for the tires from the bay area! Thanks to all who offered assistance, you guys rock.

Will post a couple pics once I get the new tires on her....not like anyone has EVER seen a white 80 with no lift and 285 bfg a/t's :D

Damnit! I already started the grinding and welding preping the Scion for this!

...keep going Brent.

A white '80 with 285's - seen that.

A grey xA with 285's? Can it be done? ...question answered!
