anyone heard of this???

ive got a98 runner 3.4, and the crank pully wobbled off when the wife had it. so i pulled everything(rad, belts and hoses)out of the way. to find out the crankshaft is ground thru the keyway and the shaft is ovaled. the pulley id is ovaled and ground to s***.

can i just replace the crank w the pistons in place?
or just get a shortblock and deal with that headache.

I'm sure it's easier at that point to just pull engine and repair or replace.

id be really pissed if i had done any of the work myself. i havent done anything to the runner in 120k ish miles.
