I have one for my '75 Bronco. Found it completely useless without a floor, so I made one out of wood. Now I'm running a soft top on the Bronco, so the rack and metal top just sit on the side of the house.

I built one out on the previous shell on my Toyota. I did the following:

1. Welded in a stretched steel floor. The plywood it had before didn't tolerate rain well.
2. Fabricated Hi-Lift jack mounts on the left side and welded them in
3. Added Quickfist clamps and mounted my shovel on the right side
4. Made it quick-detach with 4 bolts. I made custom cross bars and used a van ladder rack kit to mount it up with 4x 5/16" stainless bolts.
5. Added a piece of perforated angle iron from a warehouse shelf to lock my NATO Jerry cans down with. I could hold up to four across and they were very secure.

I just cut 3/4 in marine plywood to size, stained it, finished it with spar varnish, laid out my jack, shovel etc and mounted them in place with quick fists bolted to the wood so I didn't damage the steel rack. Additional items can be ratcheted down or spidered in waterproof bags.
