I'm re springing the front of the 4runner, and am thinking it may be time to swap to a 60/62 housing and 3rd.

Any one gots one?

I know of a complete fj60 in a junk yard here in my town. I know he will sell the front axle only cause I asked about it when I was thinking of putting it under my 4runner. But I am not gonna do that now.

Does ya want me to ask about it?

Sure, don't go out of your way though.

Did you scrap the SAS idea all together? Or just the lc axle?
 
Most certainly doing the SAS, just not the LC axle, gonna do it with the mini axle. If you do the LC axle, you won't need your front wheel spacers, but I will. Just sayin.

Or my armored and crazy gusseted/tubed out front housing already setup for hydro.... Just sayin...
 
You probably already know this, but you're in the mood to part a truck out there is a complete, running '83 FJ60 up in park ridge for on CL for $500.
 
True, factory 4:88 locked 8".
 
The locker is a V6 locker BTW....

I do eventually want a centered up fzj80 axle out back..... Hmmmm

Maybe, around 09 I did the 3.4/a340f/duals...
 
Hey, John.

I did some checkin around & everything I can find is sayin the 60 series all have 3:73 gears & all 62series have the 4:11 (4:10) ratio. I checked in a Toyota manual, asked the Toyota parts counter guy at Toyota of Muncie & pm'd a 60/62 "know it all guy" from the 60/62 boards.

I guess it only matters if I think i can run a 4.10 down the highway...
 
You have a tow rig and trailer, who cares about highway performance.

Your outputs are going to hate you with 37s and 4.10s. Why not just regear it? Its not that hard on a yota axle.
