Anyone ever use one of these?

So I heard Downey will still answer questions on his products. I have this trans signal interface in my 85 runner its hooked up to 4l60e behind a 4.3. The guy i bought the runner from said he didnt know how to use it. The trans shifts like crap, so i was wondering if you guys have any input or maybe if Downey could chime in that would be sweet.

Downey has been out of business for a few years now.

Call John in Tech at LC Engineering. He knows Downey's products pretty good or he could maybe steer you in the right direction. I understand a little bit about how it works but without the instructions I would not want to guess. If you can find some instructions I should be able to tell you how to set it up. I have street rods and have setup similar function units on the transmissions.

I'm positive that interface is for your tach and not for your trans. I have one similar in my 1st gen with a 3.4 swap so my factory tach will work.
Yours looks similar to this, just maybe an earlier model.
