Just realized a picture of mine might belong in this thread... Doors didn't match so PO plastidipped it, but it's coming off

My 68 Capri Blue FJ40 that I put on it's side in 75 got a 73 beige top as a easy fix. In 83 I replaced the rattle trap two piece doors with 79 beige doors. Somewhere along the line think I replaced a windshield hinge with one off a red 40. In 86 friends painted it a awful rust color that was supposed to be brown. Wish I would have left it alone and paint all the replacement parts Capri Blue.

somehow that shirt isn’t nearly as bad as i would have thought a multicolour 40 would look. probably because it seems to represent more of a well used truck that has many replacement parts added. i think if it was painted fresh like that with all perfect body panels then the guys in post #4 should probably be driving it!
