Damn temptin' sir.

Be the perfect size for The 3X's ...

'Cept the gauge shows there ain't no fuel in it. :flipoff2:

... and I'm lookin' into a new tow rig. :grinpimp:

:flamingo:

Well, I figured it would look nice at the 3X's.

BTW, he said 12 this AM, he meant 9, if that makes a difference. :D

And WTF do you need another tow rig fer?

Nice price for a nice tractor ... just can't swing it right now. :frown:

Lookin at a lil' somethin' that's a bit more custom ... somethin' that pushes the envelope for a tow rig. :grinpimp:

Still tryin' to work out the details though. Several different parties involved to create what I got in mind ... and it's gonna take awhile.

:flamingo:

.... and I've been lookin' at a '96 Peterbilt for under 20K.... Convert the sleeper to captains seats, put in a DVD player and add a gooseneck ball behind the 5th wheel.... :hillbilly:

It'd be a little hard to park at the local hardware store tho

I've been thinkin about the class 6 trucks myself. Something like a freightliner fl70 - Rated for 26,000lbs or less and no CDL required. Just trying to figure out how to build a large sleeper type set-up in front of a flatbed just large enough to haul the cruiser.... Bumper pull a second as needed.... HUM???

Almost bought one but it didn't have a place for a gooseneck hitch. But then I thought what would I do with 2 livingquarters. Then started looking at all the other stuff that I would have to deal with and decided to just stay with what I've got and be happy.

This would be the ultimate "White Trash with Money" rig....

I hate to be argumentative sir ... BUT ... I disagree. ;p

I been lookin' at them Toterhomes on and off now for years. I admit they offer the advantage of an easy way out ... just write a friggin' check, hook up your junk, and hit the road. Once in awhile a low mileage, nice one will pop up on e-bay for 70 grand or so. New one's gonna run twice that. I know you can get 'em cheaper ... but you get what you pay for in quality as well.

So why ain't I got one you ask??

1) It's a rig you can't do anythang else with. The glory of our trailer/camper deals is that it easily frees up our trucks when we need 'em to actu'lly be used as trucks.

2) I never found one personally that I thought the living quarters could equal the quality of a Lance camper. At one stage of my life , I lived in RV's daily for over 5 years. I'm a BIG fan of Lance.

3) Not much you can do to customize 'em. They're nice lookin' ... but someday ... someplace ... someone ... could pull up beside you at a traffic light with the same friggin' truck. That's one of my worst nightmares. I don't like "stock" trucks.

4) They're 2WD and have lil' tires. :grinpimp:
