Hi All,
I'm thinking about regearing myself, or having a shop, regear a transfer case for my 1996 80 Series. I'd like to put in both the high range and low range gears that Cruiser Outfitters sells. That involves some press work and clearancing the case for the low range gears, as I understand it. I'm open to doing it myself, though I've never done anything like that.
I'm also interested in knowing if the hive mind has any shop in mind in the Los Angeles area that you would trust to do the work. I would source the T case, and remove and install it both in and out of my vehicle. Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Call Georg valley hybrids as @Fj80oregon mentioned. You can ship him yours if it's not practical to drive up there and leave the rig to come back.

I have heard great things about Valley Hybrids here on MUD, but there is this shop in the Valley you might want to check out as well. I have seen some of their builds and work on social media RPM Garage

I bought my 80 from a cruiser fanatic in SoCal and most of the receipts he included were from RPM garage. The rig has been solid! Georg is definitely the transfer case King.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. I'll call both RPM and Valley Hybrids and see what they say. Thanks again.
