Can't say I have sen or heard of them. Do you have a link?

I was looking at one of the many for sale on Ebay, for some reason this one seems to catch my eye: G&P 35W HID 3500 Lm Tactical METAL Flashlight GP771 FS - eBay (item 270323836820 end time Jan-03-09 19:59:50 PST)

Maybe I'll do some googling but was hoping for some first hand opinions...

These things are extremely bright, might even "put someones eye out" !!! ;p

I have a couple of HID spotlights, and I've played with the Surefire HID flashlight along with a few others (wolf eyes, Mcculloh, Maxabeams, and some no names).

Not really much to say about them that you probably don't already know. They're pretty bright, but aside from the bragging rights to say you have an HID flashlight, I don't think they're all that practical. I don't know about the newer ones that just came out, but some of them have a warm up time before reaching full power, which can be quite annoying if you really just want to use it as a flashlight. It's more of something to show off than actually use.

CPF (candlepowerforums) will answer any questions you have, and more.
