Any good welding shops in metro Atl?

Depends on where you're at. Classic City Offroad is in the Athens area and do good work. I'm pretty sure their hourly rate is $60/hr. When I shopped around Athens, it seemed like the going rate was $60 - 80/hr. I would probably be inclined to pay a little more at some sort of offroad shop given their understanding for those items to be square, directional forces and axle movement, etc.

There's also a ton of mobile welders on Craigslist but who knows what skillz they bring. I considered this prior to purchasing my own welder.

Home depot rents welders. Get some scrap metal to practice on until you can put down a decent bead and then go for it. I think you can rent it for the day for $40 but what you learn is priceless.

Not really an option where I currently live but I'll keep that in mind.
