That's not much different than mine when my daughter first got it. Now it's MUCH better than that!! Here's the "before" and "after" shots for those who didn't see it at the March Coastal Cruisers meeting (the lift, PTO and 33's came after March)!!

Hmmm? Charles you got me thinking. But money is short and the little piggy in Seattle has way more rust. But they are cool rigs. My daughter will be 16 next year and IMO these are the perfect rigs for new drivers - goes slow and built like a tank. Will have to keep my eye out for other rigs down South. Have pretty much only looked here.

The "flesh" on that pig is about ready to fall off the bone -certainly seen better days:doh:

Probably take $300 and you'd have a parts truck.:grinpimp:

he's only asking 500. Which is what I feel bottom end anyhow. If I was interested I would just give em 500.

A project like this is a big commitment. Where do you find fenders for a 55?

If you sift through craigslist (Washington and Oregon) numerous more favourable 55 candidates often arise that would provide less grief in the form of rust and would certainly be a better platform to start from. As far as 55 fenders go - other than SOR (fiberglass and muchos $$$$) there is virtually no aftermarket for the pig body(other than minor patch panels). No wonder so few take a pig under their wing. Only after searching high and low(and with a little luck) did I find some spare fenders for my pig. Fenders pretty much = the holy grail. 55s are damn cool though.

Indeed, Cruiser-guy - the transformation of your pig is nothing short of awe-inspiring. I hope to see it down the road. Outstanding!

What "mountains" of B.C. are you in? Purcell's? Monashee's?

In a little "Shantytown" after Revelstoke - in fact, just had the pleasure of meeting Nick about a week back in Cranbrook - hope all is well down south:cheers:

Yep, things are going well here. Have you seen my POTM thread yet? Maybe we can meet up next summer when I'm up north! It would be good to meet up with another piggy owner.

Your POTM is very impressive Charles!:).......a worthy read for certain. Will look forward to seeing you next summer....hopefully some pigs will attend cruiserdays next round. There is a blue 83 BJ60 a couple houses down from me .....was looking to buy it until I crawled underneath and saw the dismal state...far surpassed my 55. I was told it may have been yours or an associates at one point? ...ring any bells?:grinpimp:

I had an '84 that was pretty bad. It was the donor of my H55 tranny so if there is a blue '84 with an H42 tranny it might have been mine once. The girl who bought it hit the highway barrier and put on a red fender on the passenger side I think.
