My antennas spinal cord snapped and it quit working. I dont want to listen to the motor whir and clack anymore. I disconnected the two plugs going to the motor in hopes this will cease its activity.

I now have a manual telescopic antenna. :meh:

Will this be ok or should I plug one or both of those connectors back in?

Thanks.

no has disconnected it?

Talking about the plug that goes to the motor assembly in the fender? Couldn't hurt anything, especially if you taped over the end. Pretty sure it will stay nonfunctional that way, if that's what you want.

I fixed mine. Most people who want it working buy the new antenna and install it in the old motor assembly. Way less $$ than the entire assembly.

I disconnected mine. I'm planning to order the replacement part though. I'd rather have it work, even if I rarely use it.

The only draw back I have noticed is the antenna slides down on rough roads.
