The 2720 has been priced at 349.99 on Amazon for a while, but I suspect it'll soon be discontinued.

I have the Garmin 76CSx, just a few more features than the 60CSx so might be worth comparing them. My one comment would be to get the external antenna if you are going to use it in your vehicle frequently. I've used several different handheld Garmins and a couple of Trimbles ($$$$) inside vehicles and the difference in reception, speed in acquiring sats, etc. really is worth the extra coin. It also opens up where you can mount it without having to worry about the built-in antenna getting reception. Try GPSCity.com for decent prices.

really happy with my Venture CX kinda like the 60 but smaller and a tad less powerful, and much cheaper

I use to have a Garmin eTrex Legend, sold it on craigslist and bought and old Garmin Streetpilot III color map. It came with a 32 meg card and some power adapters. I was able to score a copy of Garmin Topo maps and loaded most of WA onto the 32 meg, so far it seems to work pretty good. I think I paid like 150 after shipping for it.
