Another weekend project failure - New Seat Covers, Timing belt...

So my weekend projects actually started out really well.

I replaced my seat covers. This went surprisingly well. Between clipping dozens of hog rings and recrimping them my forearms are like spaghetti noodles. But it went much smoother than I thought it would.

The only problem I had was I cross threaded the bolt for the passenger seat arm rest. But I ordered a tap and die set to fix that.

But then came working on the timing belt. I ordered the kit from Rock Auto plus the serpentine kit. I get the whole front end taken apart.

THEN... I open the box. I put on the water pump, the idler pully and then go to grab the tensioner pully and hydraulic tensioner. It's the wrong pully and there is no hydraulic tensioner. So now I'm stuck waiting to hear back from them and who knows how long it will take them to get me the new parts all without having a truck. I hope they FedEx them to get me the new parts. And my next few weekends are going to be busy but I need to find a way to make this work and fit it into my schedule.

Here's the pully they sent: It was in the TKT021 kit. And I really don't blame Rock Auto Its what they got from Aisin.

On the positive side. the old belt still looked brand new after 12 years and 85K mikes. I could even read all the markings on the belt with no issue. I half way regret doing this project it looked so good.

I just want to put out there that Rock Auto responded very quickly and is exchanging the kit.

Hopefully I can get it before the weekend, for better or worse we're supposed to get a ton of snow in eastern NC this weekend. We can't even handle a dusting, but it will be a good time to hunker down and finish this up.
