Wondering what the market is for the GX470 now. Is a stock version more desirable than a modified version?
I’ve got a 2008, white and Gray interior. Sits in my garage most of the time. We use it for road trips mainly. Or going to church when my son’s friends go with us.
I had it “built” at one time but we have since undone some of those mods.
Mods undone:
JWOffroad Tire Carrier. I still have it and there are stainless bolts in the holes left behind.
Wheels and tires: Put late model 4runner wheels on it with more “street” tires.
What I have not removed, but am considering removing, is the ADS coilovers and rear shocks, springs along with UCAs in front. . I’d replace them with Bilstein 5100s closer to stock ride height. Lower control arms were replaced as well and the axles. Toyota axles were used.
Has in dash nav system.
When I bought it in 2020, 166k miles, now about 186k. At around 180k, I replaced the timing belt and all pulleys, water pump and fan bracket, alternator, a/c compressor. Ps pump. Radiator. Ac condenser and dryer.
Everything works as it should.
Also has the stainless rear table from Australia on back door. Some other items too like LD engineering cross bars for rack, ditch light brackets.
We are not 100% sure we want to sell. Definitely not, if the value has dropped significantly. I hate the thought of buying something new. But I have six vehicles for two drivers and it’s getting a little ridiculous around here. Ha!
Curious what you all think.
