Update: due to the bearing issue the tires have been delayed to next week. I'll update as soon as they are on.

AGHH!! You're killin me.
I'll have my new shoes on before you do...I was hoping to hear about that 33+" OD before I slapped them on.

Just got my new wheels on...sorry no pics, it got dark after I finished and took her for a test run.

The wheels are Dunlop MT Maxx Traction, 275/70/18. I laced up a set of stylized steel rims painted black. I will have pics once I can take some decent ones. The wheels are a nice mix between BFG ATs or Nitto TGs and a hard core mud terrain. They are also snow and winter rated for severe service which is needed in our climate.

Only a short time on the tires so no real comments to post until I've done some driving. One thing I can comment, even with the ARB lift, this is the largest tire that can fit in the wheel well without rubbing. If this tire was on a offset rim, or spaced with adapters, it would most probably rub in the back front against the mud flap.

Yeah, yeah...I knew I shouldn't have posted without them, shame on me .

For those that asked, I got my butt up and had a 30sec photo session:

They are tucked under the rig quite a bit because of the stock offset. If you wanted, you could always throw in a 1" or 1-1/4" adapter to push the wheels out, or just run rims like DTT's with 30 odd mils of offset. The pics don't show it, but they are a wee bit taller. So far so good. I will let you know about the ride, I like the AT / MT thread on these tires.

They look great!! Now why Dunlop vs Nitto? They also have the same size if I remember correctly.

BTW why the orange lenses on the lightforce lights?

Great Job....!!! Let us know any rubs you may get!

Nitto doesn't have a tire like this. This tire is more aggresive than thier all terrain and more like their mud terrain. The benefit of the Dunlop is that it is rated for Snow service (I need that).

I have the clear lenses for the Lightforce as well, but the orange is a Combo lenses (more spot) and I got it for Fog and Snow.

They have one on their site that says LT275/70/R18. Does the LT make a difference?

Or is it that the dunlop tread is different itself but the tire is the same size?

Looks great!

I get that spacers are a bad idea. They just basically shorten the effective length of the studs, but what about adapters? Has anyone actually used them? Is one brand better than another? These trucks would benefit from a broader stance.

This is the tire that I have. Nitto TG A/T. It's a very aggressive tire. It is also M+S rated. Say's so right on the sidewall.

The mud terrain is also a nice tire, but too aggressive for my tastes. Also, mud tires aren't any good in the snow as they have no sipping.

wow looks great!

I took a hard offroad trail last night with my group (I will post more on this trip later), but just wanted to say that there is some rub from the front tires rubbing the mudflaps. It's not major, so I'm not going to worry about it. Just letting you know that it's there.

Chimyz, you sure you are not rubbing as well?
