fyi, I used one I bought new from tuffy, it is slanted to fit the rear of the stock console, works great and fits perfect with only 2 small holes and fender washers. with my landtank seat brackets, they work perfect as when the seat is all the way back it is right there, and they hold bigger drinks. They also match the oem interior perfectly.

Post a pic. Id be interested to see that. I'm Lookind at 2nd row options now.

I considered doing the exact same thing but was concered about leg room for the passenger. Looks like you got tha placement just right.
