    Hi,
I have another 2f parts question. This time it's regarding the timing gears. The shop that did the machining work on my block and head supplied all the parts for the rebuild and I am reassembling the engine. The cam gear they supplied is phenolic (plastic) while the crank gear is steel. The phenolic material doesn't seem like it would be durable especially when it is soaked with motor oil and running against another steel gear. Does anybody have any experience with this type of cam gear? Should I use it in my re-build? Thanks for any help!
