I was trying to make it but too much work to get the day off. Have fun and take some pictures.

Will do. Bummer you can't join us. There should be snow so it will make for some beautiful scenery and good pictures.

Trip report - Lawson's Peak

SDNative, 619Toy and myself met up at Starbucks as planned, (I was a little late, sorry again fellas). Since the group was small and all of us were built up with lockers - we had a change in plans. Steve suggested we hit up Lawson's peak - I had no idea what or where that was, but I was game. Here's a little info on Lawson's peak - Lawson Peak offers a steep trek, challenging climb | SignOnSanDiego.com

Overall the trail was mild - but of course there were some pucker moments. This trail was really about flex. It was really rutted out and made for some off camber fun. It's only about 2 or 3 miles long but your destination is pretty spectacular. The trail ends at a rock garden with huge slabs of granite that you can play around on.

You can hike to the top if Lawson's Peak which I'm sure has a fantastic view. We may have hiked it if the weather had been a bit nicer (very windy and cold).

Thanks to Eric, always a pleasure wheeling and hangin out.
Steve, it was great to meet you. I'm sure we'll be wheeling again.

Sorry about the change of trails. I was leaving on a trip the next day and wanted something closer to home. Still a great run!

The trail was actually Carveacre Road, which leads to Lawson Peak. It was pretty rutted after the recent rains :D
