alternator upgrade

for those who have upgraded your alternator and have an fj40 what do you do about the amp meter. it's sut up for 30 amps for a 77 fj40 right? what happens when you put in a 100 amp alternator? do you install a seperate amp meter? or modify the old one

I'm converting to volt meter, as long as it is at 14volts it should be good. Also if you put the light in your dash that connects to the alternator it should light if it goes bad.
