Alternate fuel fo Coleman stove

Has any one used other fuel for a Coleman stove rather than white gas?

With a little adjustments they will burn unleaded automobile gas but I wouldn't do it because of all the additives that are added. You can get stoves designed to run on kerosene or diesel. You might not like either because they may soot more.

Ive been using the dual fuel's for years...always have a supply of gas with me

With a $15 adapter from Wal-Mart you can run propane. It removes the PITA factor of white gas IMHO.

...and works really well. I was ready to buy a Camp Chef, but after finding this, it breathed new life into my antique Coleman triple burner!

I own a duel burner 425 and I bought the propane adapter from walmart in sporting goods with all the other adapter stuff works great.

I've been using plain old unleaded gas in all my lanterns and stoves for years, and have had absolutley no negative effects.
