It's a barn, really, but I use it as a shop. Wouldn't want to weld in there, but everything else is OK. After 2 years, about the only issue is that the flooring cupped, but that is because they laid the floor before the first snow, covered with visqueen, and finished in the spring. The cupping occurred then, and has been stable since. One day, when I am inspired, I'll take a power planer and smooth things out. Oil spills are good for the wood. AND the wood is a great surface to stand on all day while working. There are 2 (I think) center support footings spaced across the midline, else it is just around the walls.
 
My shop consists of a couple of pieces of plywood under a shadetree with my landcruiser pulled under it and a hydraulic jack to lift it up. Lets see if anyone can top that. Oh yeah, and lets not forget the concrete blocks as jack stands.

Concrete blocks fail far too often for my taste! :D
