Post up. :flipoff2:

How do you like it?
What environment(s) is it best/worst in?
How's it handle wind?
What, if anything would you change/add/delete?

I'm in the planning phase of my homebrew tent. And since I'm poor, and nothing off the shelf is ever how I want it, I get to take the time to make it myself.

Here's where I'm at so far...

I want a tent that opens like an envelope.
The ladder will stow underneath the base.
It will be guyed out. Or at least be able to be.
The windows need to be of wicked high quality no-see-um netting.
I may insulate the floor permanently to keep the AZ heat of my back in the evening.
It has to be 4 season. This may require the above. Or a modular series of layers. Haven't figgered this one out yet.
Needs a gear loft. Prolly pretty simple.
It needs to have A GOOD LADDER! I keep reading how much the ladders suck on various tents.
And the fabrics have to be able to survive years in the desert. This means resistant to 120F+ heat, 300+ days of intense sunlight and UVA and UVB. Maybe NASA has something like this?
