Do you mean the track looks different between front and rear?
The front track of 70 series landcruiser is about 5-10 mm wider than the rear but an inch is a lot.

It could have a rim with the wrong offset or a different width tyre.
It could also have been in a smash and the axle is pushed over however that would make it stick out on the other side.

There is ways to measure the vehicle in the FSM or take it to good wheel alignment or panel shop.

i did slam it up against the curb took a chip out of the rim the shop says that it is true it tracks straight but if i take a referece on the body there is more overhang on drivers side i need a short rear axle

Maybe its time for a 2nd opinion. If you can visually see something wrong then it needs to be checked.
I think its possible to align the front wheels and make it track straight even if the rear axle is out of whack or even if the body is bent.
You could get a friend to drive and watch it from behind. Cars with this problem sort of crab walk, like the ass wants to overtake the front

Why do you need the new axle, was it bent in the curb incident?

yes thats why i need the axle the curb incident i did what you suggested thanks it doesnt crab walk it drives perfectly straight with no disruption to the steering. the right rear wheel is just in an inch further than used to be i think a clip or something got pushed in the left side is not sticking out any further i have a new friend like yourself that is going to japan today on business he said that he would pick up the correct parts i need .
