I have not lifted my Cruiser to the max using All Pro's coil overs etc. The reason is that at 1" I have negative camber. This is a good thing but what is going to happen when I lift it another 1 1/2"? The higher it is lifted the more the camber.
All Pro's installer has told me that he does not use the replacement A-arms. Has anyone used these? Should I get them?
My problem is that I plan to lift the the Cruiser Friday morning and don't want to do it if I have to swap out parts.
One last question to the group, should I allow more than an inch drop for the installlation of the ARB BB and a Warn winch?

Thanks for all your help

Put the lift in and wheel it for awhile. I assume the AP coilover is adjustable. You can tweak it up higher once you get your bullbar on.

The UCA can be added later- you dont have to mess w/ the rest of the suspension to do it. How high are you lifting? I doubt you will bind the stock toyota uca at resonable lift height.

The lift is in. I had a hard time cranking down the nuts on the springs. I have driven it for a week to settle everything down. In the morning I am going to lift it some more. I don't really want to have to readjust the front end again. I have it aligned after I alter it. I am going to lift it about 2 3/4" at the front and see what happens. The worst is I have to take it apart again the best is I will have to have the headlights adjusted when the the winch and bar go on.
With my old FJ and BJ, I did not have to worry about all these things. I just put the stuff on and went into the bush.
Thanks for your help

If your stock UCA's don't hit the coils you wont need new ones.

UCA's are stronger than stock and have more room between the ball joint and coil. I've also read they give 1" more down travel.

If it is possible try and set up the front shocks in a vise. 2 3/4" down on the nut will give approx 2 1/4" lift. I think that will settle down to 2" with a bumper and winch. It will be a challenge to get the shocks in but it will be easier than cranking down the drivers side.
Let me know how it goes and yes we should meet. I will be going south this weekend if my winch has arrived. I already have a ARB bumper waiting for me.
Good luck on the install.
