I just made an online purchase and picked up some new cylinder block alignment pins for my engine build.

As it turns out I mistakenly ordered pins for a 1FZ rather than the 2F…

Will part number 90253-15007 work in place of 90253-17003? Or should I contact the vendor before shipment and have the order changed?

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

i'd change it, why take the risk of not getting an answer in time n having a nonusable part in hand. just tell the vendor you had a dumbf$#k moment, we all have those.

Honestly, that’s my thought. But I figured I’d bring the topic up here in case someone like @OGBeno or other parts gurus know off the top of their head. Also, for posterity’s sake in case someone in the future has the same question.

Well, I have an answer to my question now for anyone in the future who might find themselves wondering the same thing.

No, they are not interchangeable. The pins for the 2F are larger in diameter and the walls of the tubing are thinner than the 1FZ. I think the 2F pins are a tad bit shorter as well.

I wasn’t able to get ahold of the vendor before they completed the order. These things are like $2 a piece so I’m not hurting the wallet. Turns out I have some other things to order as well, so I’ll get the proper parts for my build. When I have them both side by side I’ll post pictures and dimensions for posterity.
