I skimmed the entire rear video and could not find a shot of it that wasn't way too close to tell what the bumper even looks like.
Maybe that shot was in there and I just didn't see it.
I think this would be a great video if it was done with someone else holding the camera 10 feet away instead of a gopro on your head.
I appreciate the work you put into making it. Just wanted to make suggestions that might make your next video better.
One thing- it is universal standard practice to bake powder coat masking in the oven and leave it on until assembly time. Premium products will prep those areas better- make them ready for assembly, but you bought what amounts to very low cost bumpers that cost a fortune in shipping and tariffs so it doesn't surprise me the manufacturer left some hand work up to the installer.

Just curious how all the bands in the market, all of those with $$$$ price tag, were crash tested? Do they put it on a real LX and/or LC to test? I'd think such test should be public information. Has anyone pulled such information to verify?
I believe that ARB are - at least in Australia. I have no idea regarding the others. It can probably be searched out at least for the Australian manufacturers. The Aussies seem pretty serious about keeping modified vehicles safe while we are a bit more Mad Max - Road Warrior here in the states!
^^ARB, because of its extensive crash tests and airbag deployment certifications new and old models (as far as I know) is the only aftermarket steel bumper accredited by insurance companies. Cmiiw.
I know ARB and Ironman bumpers are ADR approved. TCC (sold through LRA in the U.S.) says it is airbag tested, but I'm not sure if that means it is ADR approved.
I just asked the AI on this question, and here is the answer I got: For these Off-Road/Steel bumpers, there is no regulatory agency or safety standard in the US that requires them to be tested or certified! Because they bypass standard vehicle rules, the off-road steel bumper market is completely self-regulated.
After more research, and I noticed there are basically 3 level of regulations across all countries to the after-market bumper.
All others not certified according to ADR, no matter if it's Made in USA or China, are same. The "Airbag Compatible" claim, by many local manufacturers, usually just means computer simulation modeling is used to design. Reputation doesn't play much here, because you won't know how it actually works in real world until crash happened.
So basically, if safety is a concern, only buy those bumpers made for Australia market, which I did. Otherwise, Alibaba bumper is as safe/danger/uncertain/ as any other non-Australian bumpers. Also, I believe this only apply to the front bumper, and rear bumper is less concerned for safety.

FYI, TCC (The Cruiser Company) is Australia based, hence why I listed them but was unsure of their actual status. I would think they need to be ADR approved, and their video states it is airbag compatible and road legal, but find it weird they would say that rather than outright saying ADR approved like ARB and Ironman.
