Just wanted to give you Home state guys a heads up. We will have the F-22 demonstration team at the Meridian NAS airshow, March 29-30. As a demo team member, and being somewhat at home, I am looking forward to seeing some of you guys there! The "routine" is very different than last year if you may have caught it. It is truly amazing to watch this plane in action!
 
I'll try to get a group together and come on over. Keep us posted on times.

Scheduling conflict with the Air Show at Tyndall AFB in Florida. We will no longer be bringing the Raptor to Mississippi for the Meridian air show. I am bummed. I have been to Tyndall a few times.
 
Crap! I was looking forward to seeing that plane in action! All I get to see on a daily basis is a funky ole C-17. Can do impressive things but not around here. Holla if things change.

We pulled a C-17 high-G combat take-off from Wake Island, and cut it for a full 360 around the entire island. I think the pilots said it was just over 2g. Felt very weird sitting in the web seats with a 11k-lb piece of ground equipment in front of me.
 
Yeah, that plane can do some impressive stuff! It's like a high performance motor home. We did a full combat takeoff once and I was in the cockpit. VERY impressive.

Anyone who has been in the military will understand this phrase.

There has been a change to the change, and we will have the Raptor at the Meridian Air Show as of Friday 22 Feb. Hopefully this will not change again. I am looking forward to this show!
 
Keep us posted! If we can talk Greg into taking the grease machine it won't cost us anything to make the trip! Start saving the grease!

I would love to see the Raptor show out but I will be on Beale Street that weekend celebrating a friends 40th bday.
