I made one some time ago. I used the bellows from a bus suspension. Connected to a small compressor. Worked like a dream.
The weight limit is constrained by the material used for the bellows. I wouldn't buy one. Making one was so easy. With a bus, or semi- trailer bellows, the capacity constraint goes away.
I used mine for all sorts of things, including home demolition...don't ask I got bored.

No, but I have seen the ARB Bushranger jack in action and man is it sweet. A little more $$ than your Costco option but no compressor needed and it inflates in about 30 seconds.

I have the Xjack and have tested it. A solid solution, especially for vehicles without sliders. Great in the sand...
I seen alot of full size truck use them, But they have big comp. out back of there truck.

I tried a new one today but not easy and sniffing the fumes is not the best...
First use needs to open up the hose and inflate it before reaching the bag.
Also the engine is running while messing under the car and looking for sharp points is not safe, if you throw it under the car and dont look it will puncture I think.
The thing cannot lift my hj60 while middle under the rear axle, or under the rear towing hook, and in the front it was almost punctured by the spring bolts because it went sideways and started to lift the swaybar.
So In a simple test on grass it did not work, maybe in sand but I found the underside has to many sharp objects, need to clean it up or use a thick rubber mat.
Also I have a 2 inch lift and that seems to be to much (hight of bag 60 cm/24 inch)

OMG ...... as a German i must confess i am ashamed...... 
the shown dork is to stupid to use it proper.
Had one of exakt these Air Jacks to lift my tent on my roof tent trailer, zero problems.
I would not buy one for my rig unless i travel a lot in sand areas.
