I am still trying to find out why my electric/electronic a/c controls don't work; the controls on the dash no longer activate the clutch. When I run a jumper to the compressor clutch, a/c works well.
I took the dash apart and tested most things with a multimeter. I tested a/c amp's pins/wiring while the truck was running with everything in place and calling for a/c.
The a/c switch/dial works correctly.
The a/c relay clicks on when the blower is turned along with a/c switch.
The pressure switch shows zero ohms, as it should.
I disconnected the thermistor and check its resistance at 85 degrees F. It's about 1,100 ohms which seems to go along with the manual's very minimal graph/chart. I bypassed the thermistor altogether, essentially giving the amp zero ohms resistance, but nothing changed.
I attached two diagrams to this post. The FSM does not seem to match exactly what I have in the truck; some wire colors are different.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks,.
