Will a leaf sprung 70 give a more compliant ride with air suspension with some of the leafs removed?

Anyone implemented such a system?

Lots of info in Australian sites of benefits of air for towing, handling and load carrying esp. for 79 series. But very little on ride comfort.

I had double air bellows in the rear of my 79 with 2 leaves removed and it was great with some weight in the back, but unloaded it was a little rougher than standard. The doubles also limit suspension travel so I would advise using triple bellow bags.

If your putting down any kind of power, you may need a track bar to stop the leaves twisting

Do you have pics of that set up?
