Air filter cover - water resistant.

I have not made the leap to a snorkel on my 87 FJ60 yet, but it has an LS swap with a cone filter at the end of the air intake.
Question.................as I do heavy duty off road, what is a good cover/splash guard for the filter that would mount inside the engine compartment?

Back in the old days we used to use a thing called an airbox to protect the filter. I worked pretty well.

Ultimately, I think dmjay is right. If you plan on seriously off-roading, you will need a proper air-box. "Splash guards" and a cone filter will not cut it.
