Ya buddy! That will do just fine. My compressor has the same specs and is everything I have ever needed. The 5" air grinder is the only tool I use that it wont keep up to.
 
s*** I just have a little contractors wheelbarrow style compressor.

it's fine for painting and all the usual air tools. Rotary air tools suck a ton of air, so I just don't bother with them.

so yeah, that's a lot bigger than the one I've been using for the past 10 years...

Ya thanks... but this is an issue for any compressor I get... so I can't really hold it for/against this compressor :meh:

I found this one:
60 Gallon air compressor - Ottawa Tools & Hardware For Sale - Kijiji Ottawa Canada.

I could buy that and put this on it for less than the cost of the new one (and have a bigger better compressor...

Going to email the guy...

Too dusty.... I wouldn't touch it. Huskys aren't exactly top of the line anyways.

I could buy that and put this on it for less than the cost of the new one (and have a bigger better compressor...

Just make sure the motor can handle the extra load, the belt is the same style, the bolt pattern is the same etc.

Got something shiny for the barn!

New compressor... Also got a 14'x14' door to use for the barn ... Just need to build a frame and put the door together!

How quiet is that one - I have a little aluminum 6 gallon POS that so loud I don't want to use it is so deafening - it can be heard 1/2 block away.. I need a biq quiet one...

I had a little 5gal. Wheelbarrow style compressor I called "the Dragon". It was SO loud! The little thing just wouldn't die though so I had a hard time replacing it.....
When i finally did, I mounted the 60 gal. Compressor under the house in the crawl space. What a difference! I can hardly hear it at all, plus the compressor is always dry and clean.

Even if it wasn't under the house and say, close by. The uprights with single compressor piston are so quiet its hardly even compare able.

Well glen after using this compressor I can tell you its definitely quieter and vibrates less than my uncles 5 gallon CH compressor. That said I sat 5feet away from it for about an hour using my sander and I think I'll probably build a little shed for it out behind the barn so I can keep the space used and also the noise to a minimum.
