Recently my 2001 HDJ100 developed this annoying behavior - the front sometimes dips while driving. I can definitely feel it. But when I stop, the bastard raises itself back up and the issue is no longer there when I get out of the car. In general, the ride is neither particularly rough nor bouncy, so I don't think my AHC globes are shot (or at least not all of them?). There are no leaks that I could see, AHC fluid level seems normal. All the modes work - High-Normal-Low. Another potentially relevant observation - sometimes when it goes to High, the indicator immediately changes to Normal even though the AHC is still obviously in High (I get out of the car, measure the damn thing and all). So I turn off the engine, turn it back again and the indicator comes back to High.
So anyway, does this sound like the front AHC sensors? Last year one of them seized and broke (or it also could be the part the sensor was attached to), but the local shop was able to weld it together and it worked fine since, until now.
