Strange issue this past week...did a full AHC fluid flush/change on Monday, and everything went as expected. Tested system health prior to beginning (10-11 notches of variation), siphoned fluid out of reservoir, bled all 4 corners, filled up with fluid, bled until air bubbles weren't present. Tested system, and it works great.
Out on the trail, it's working great in HIGH mode, driving along in 4LO...but while negotiating a tricky obstacle going steep downhill, the "OFF" light begins blinking and the truck goes back down into NORMAL. I also hear the AHC pump working overtime for some reason. I drive along in NORMAL for a bit, and when I go to try HIGH mode again it goes up without issue. Everything works as it should, and the problem hasn't come back up since this one time.
Could it be possible that there wasn't enough fluid in the reservoir for a steep downhill like that, while in HIGH mode (least amount of fluid that will ever be in reservoir)? Previous owner had plenty of fluid in reservoir, well over the MIN/MAX markings. When I did the flush and refill, I filled it until it was between the MIN/MAX lines...I'm now thinking I should top up the reservoir a bit more though. Any thoughts?
